The differences in the menu structure of Excel 2011 for Mac, and other versions on PC is quite frustrating. Fortunately Microsoft is working quickly to get parity between Windows and Mac versions of Office (including Excel). However that won't happen unless you download the 2016 version for Excel for Mac, which I do recommend as it's a much nicer user experience, but still a little buggy as it is currently in pre-release. ....and yes you can run 2016 in parallel with 2011 (for now anyways).
However if you just want to use ShufflePoint on your existing version of Excel 2011, the trick is to ignore the ribbon and head for the top menu...
When you click the "Run saved query" it will open a folder on your machine where you should have your ShufflePoint IQY file placed. The location is here...
